Two local artists, Karen Fitzpatrick and Deb Chapman, will be launching a Dementia Awareness Art Exhibition at Y Tŷ Celf - The Art House on Friday 11th October from 5pm- 7pm at 1 John St, Llaneli, SA15 1UH. The exhibition will run until 31st October.
Karen Fitzpatrick and Deb Chapman, both member artists at Y Ty Celf, have been creating work for this exhibition in direct response to their lived experience of the impact of dementia on their family and friends.
Y Ty Celf runs a weekly Dementia Support Art and Craft group on Monday afternoons from 2-4pm. A selection of work produced by those attending the group will also be exhibited with some of the participants artwork sold as part of the exhibition. 20% of all exhibition sales will be donated between Dementia UK, and the dementia support art group to enable it to continue from November onwards.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿Bydd dau artist lleol, Karen Fitzpatrick a Deb Chapman, yn lansio Arddangosfa Gelf Ymwybyddiaeth Dementia yn Y Tŷ Celf - Y Tŷ Celf ddydd Gwener 11 Hydref rhwng 5pm a 7pm am 1 John St, Llaneli, SA15 1UH. Bydd yr arddangosfa yn rhedeg tan 31 Hydref.
Mae Karen Fitzpatrick a Deb Chapman, y ddau yn artistiaid sy'n aelodau yn Y Tŷ Celf, wedi bod yn creu gwaith ar gyfer yr arddangosfa hon mewn ymateb uniongyrchol i'w profiad byw o effaith dementia ar eu teulu a'u ffrindiau.
Mae Y Tŷ Celf yn cynnal grŵp Celf a Chrefft Cymorth Dementia wythnosol ar brynhawn Llun rhwng 2-4pm. Bydd detholiad o waith a gynhyrchir gan y rhai sy'n mynychu'r grŵp hefyd yn cael eu harddangos gyda rhai o'r gwaith celf cyfranogwyr yn cael ei werthu fel rhan o'r arddangosfa. Bydd 20% o'r holl werthiannau arddangosfeydd yn cael eu rhoi rhwng Dementia UK, a'r grŵp celf cymorth dementia i'w alluogi i barhau o fis Tachwedd ymlaen.
