The shrine of saws is coming together!

I'm almost ready to start turning again, just some final clearing and sorting to do.

The wood stores are full and the ideas are many, looking forward to getting back into production!

Centuries old roof truss vs modern!

Check out the grain on the old compared to the new.

Also, the rubbish treatment retention in the heartwood of the newer timber. Whoever treated this needed to up their cycle time and pressure.

Still clearing the workshop from a year or two of inaction...watch this space!

It's been a very long time coming, but I'm finally getting ready for the wetter months and darker evenings, which I can spend in the workshop.

Found some time to get back onto the lathe, spun this dinky bowl from spalted rowan. I love the flashes and lines running through it. The small trails from some cheeky (long gone) wood worm add a certain something to the overall finish!
