✨ A little departure from my usual style…

This early 20th-century Dutch Oak Carved Sideboard is such a special piece that I couldn’t resist giving it a completely different look.

Rather than hiding those incredible carved details, I wanted to highlight them with a soft, French farmhouse-inspired whitewash — letting the texture, craftsmanship and age of the oak still shine through.

I’ve loved playing around with this one and seeing how a piece with such traditional, ornate detailing can be transformed into something much lighter and more contemporary. 🤍

It is so satisfying to see such a complete change, from dark brown and heavy looking to fresh and contemporary. Creating this piece was a lot of fun, especially as I was allowed to do whatever I wanted for my client. The shape of this piece was crying out for something new to enhance the detail on these drawers.

There are moments in business that make all the hard work worth it... and this was definitely one of them.
I was commissioned to create this beautiful dressing table set (and another piece) for the new Paramount+ production The Crow Girl Season 2.
Last night, I finally got to watch it, and spotting my furniture in the background was such an incredible feeling! I may have shouted at the TV a little! 🤩
Seeing something you've lovingly restored and transformed become part of a major TV production is something I'll never forget. It's a reminder that every piece has its own story, and sometimes that story ends up on screen.

Sometimes a project calls for something completely bespoke... and this Stag chest of drawers is exactly that! ❤️
My client had a very specific vision for bold, statement stripes, so these gorgeous shades were custom mixed especially for this makeover by Sophie James Exceptional Decor Paint.
I absolutely love working with Sophie James paints. The colours are rich, vibrant and beautifully pigmented, the coverage is incredible, and they adhere to so many different surfaces, making them perfect for transforming furniture.
I can't wait to show you the finished piece – it's going to be bold, fun and completely unique!

POV: You finally make the leap to working from home... then suddenly the washing needs doing, the dog wants attention, the fridge keeps calling your name, and somehow you're reorganising a drawer instead of working. 😂

I'm learning that being your own boss means you also have to be your own manager!
