Meet Glen Kennedy 👋, our new Business Development Manager based at our Norwich branch and joined us at the beginning of May.

Glen brings three and a half decades of hands-on experience across the sales, design, assembly, installation and testing of industrial and mobile hydraulic systems. He's built long-standing relationships with major OEM clients, delivered high value hydraulic power unit installations, engineered bespoke manifold solutions, and yes supplied factory ring main systems for Formula One motor racing teams.

His mission at Pearsons? Grow existing accounts, unlock new OEM opportunities, and build a pipeline that drives real business growth across the Norwich territory.

But there's more to Glen than hydraulics...

Thirty years in industry, often manning the BBQ on the weekend or strolling round a garden centre. Meet Michael. 🌿

Michael Benzies, Managing Director of Pearson Hydraulics and someone who's spent three decades doing the kind of work that keeps critical industries moving.

Michael's career spans Fluid Power, Power Generation and Asset Integrity, built across demanding industrial sectors, across international markets. He's led businesses, built teams, and driven growth. In April this year, he brought all of that to Pearson Hydraulics as our new Managing Director.

As MD, he brings a passion for strategy, a belief in high-performing teams, and a genuine commitment to long-term success over short-term wins.

When he's not thinking about the next chapter for the business, you'll find him on the golf course, cheering on the Springboks🏉, or holding the title of Head Chef at home. He's happily married with a teenage daughter, loves travelling and experiencing different cultures, and will choose a good garden centre over a nightclub every single time.

Six brothers, three dogs, a 2-year-old, and Oasis at Wembley. Safe to say, Sandee Timms doesn't do quiet. 🎶

Meet Sandee, our newest Business Development Manager to the Pearson Hydraulics team, and someone who's been building relationships her entire career.

Sandee started out at Hotpoint on engineer support with a focus on procurement, before spending a decade in private healthcare as Head of Sales for a specialist weight loss surgery clinic. From there, a Customer Account Manager role at a trade university and then a relocation to Lincoln brought her to us.

When put on the spot, she'll tell you her superpower is building relationships. And in her role as a BDM that will serve her well!

When she's not at her desk, you'll find her at Nettleham FC supporting and volunteering, catching live sport, or perfecting what we're told are the best Yorkshire puddings in the business.

Sandee's advice to anyone starting out?
"You spend a lot of your time at work, make sure it's somewhere you enjoy and feel motivated. The right environment and people make all the difference."

It's 1996. A young Jason Duggleby starts his first day at Pearson Hydraulics. 30 years later? He's still here.

Jason started in Goods In, earned his stripes on the sales team, then moved to getting hands-on building pumps, motors and power packs, before stepping into purchasing, where he became Purchasing Manager from 2005 to 2023.

When we opened our National Distribution Centre in Lincoln, Jason stepped up again, taking on the Supply Chain Support Manager role and owning it ever since.

That's not a career. That's a masterclass in showing up, adapting and delivering.

🗣️ Jason's advice to anyone starting out: "Work hard, accept any challenge, and enjoy it." And Jason has had 30 years of doing exactly that.
