After a slight hiatus a warm welcome is extended to all on the weekend of the 26th/27th April where a collaboration between the Red Cross and myself will be held in the form of an open workshop.
Find out about the work of the Red Cross, how they act as a first responder around the world.
View the work on display with a percentage of all sales donated to the Red Cross.

Forgotten but not yet gone!
Life tends to get in the way of aspirations, holidays, hospital even work, but at last my gallery within is complete.
A place where, after many years of my work living under covers, can now shine in its own space.
A warm welcome is extended to all visitors, possibly even tea and coffee, who are able to find me.
All that remains now is to make up a sign to encourage interest, but as ever Rome wasn't built in a day!

Rome wasn't built in a day, neither was my little gallery, however, built it now is. Even with doors, now for plasterboard on the outside and a ceiling, soon be ready to go!

Project gallery is on course. After a little tidying up, some suitable treated wood for the base and to finish some OSB board for the floor. Now just need to find some walls and a ceiling!

Having been in the past in the happy position of making and selling through galleries, sadly there are no galleries in this area (that I know of).
Fortunately the storage area, pictured, of the workshop could be converted into a display area. Only take a little while to get sorted, hmm.

Occasionally an item catches my attention particularly so in this small mirror. An arts and crafts inspired mirror set in a Yew wood frame.
Yew, a soft wood, yet harder than most hardwoods has some beautiful colouration.

Minimalist side tables.
Pair of Ash side tables pared down to essentials, strong enough to support any items normally placed on side tables, porcelain, books,etc.
Left with irregular sides, just peeled the bark away for a more pleasing appearance.

A pair of side tables albeit one in Ash and one in Oak. Simple though quite elegant.
Ash, a favourite timber of mine, often white though, as in this case, can have a lovely honey colour running through it.
Oak as ever a beautiful, durable timber that attains an excellent patina over the years.
