“Battle star galactica, super speed, ultra fast, Star Trek, 5G tXD216537748G” 🤯🤑
Word of warning to anyone looking at changing their router due to slow speed or bad connectivity... DO YOUR RESEARCH AND STANDARD CHECKS.
So many people fall into the trap of spending £100’s on new top of the range routers thinking it’ll make their internet faster... hate to break it to you but it won’t.
YOU ARE ONLY AS GOOD AS YOUR SUPPLIER. Yes, you can get better routers for your WiFi signal, faster throughput speeds etc but you will never increase your true download or upload speeds.
A lot of ISP’s will restrict the use of 3rd party equipment *cough* sky *cough* (not calling you out or anything...) meaning anything you get to add to your networks performance will be HIGHLY restricted.
Do your research. Get in touch. Ask other users. DONT JUMP TO CONCLUSIONS!! 👌🏻

Could this be the saviour of your business?!
Grandstream Wave give you the ability to virtualise/register most VOIP or SIP accounts into a handy FREE (if you download the lite version) app!
All you need is your full extension number, password and SIP servers IP address and you are on your way!
Some ISP providers restrict SIP traffic meaning you may not be able to use your VOIP but GSWave gives you the ability to make calls over 4G aswell!
The app allows you to dial internally, produce an outbound caller ID presence of that of your office so no one will EVER get your personal mobile number!!
Give it a try and help yourselves out by making work life simpler 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Working from home is now the new norm, however I’m sure a lot of you are having to work in areas of the house that are not best suited due to inadequate WiFi signal, too far from the router to have a wired connection or even having to hotspot from your phone just to get on with your day to day task. Someone told me the other day they have to work in their parents bedroom on a PC that doesn’t support wireless...
now, you may be alright with this but I’m sure there are ways to get around “awkward working” get in touch for advice on how you can maximise your new but “temporary office space” so you can get on with what you need to do and start working comfortably.

There is currently an outage with Vodafone and magrathea with the routing of calls to local and 08 numbers - magrathea are investigating the issue as a matter of urgency

29/05/2020

There are currently outages across the U.K with disruptions to TalkTalk, BT, Virgin and Google services. Likely to be DNS related which will be resolved in due course. Avoid calling your provider as this is likely to slow them down even more. Sit tight.

In these hard and trying times, schools are closing, businesses are shutting their doors and some are closing for good due to the financial impact they feel this may cause.
However, some businesses COULD CONTINUE if they had the knowledge.
Companies closing due to the COVID-19 virus simply for the fact that they can not have people in the office to answer the phones or only have the ability to divert their personal extension but NOT being able to Utilise their full system may be unaware of the possible contingency.
Traditional ISDN systems struggle to set up remote phones or diverts then I have the answer.
These systems DO have the capability of setting up a complete line divert which can be done with your supplier - with the help of a hosted PBX supplier you can point you main inbound number to a “Dummy number” (a virtual non geographic phone number) that can be tied to an IVR/auto attendant, call queue or virtual extension.
This would then give you the ability to create a backup or contingency phone system and continue your business as normal BUT REMOTELY.
Hosted phones require 2 things... power and a data connection meaning no matter where you are, if you have these 2 things... business as usual with minimal losses.
Please get in touch if you feel you could benefit from this and keep your business moving through these hard times.

Stay safe.
