A simple but stunning transformation for this little cabinet. Sourced for a special customer who has been very patiently waiting for me to find my painting mojo again. Can’t wait to deliver this to its new home tomorrow!

Things have been a little quiet in the Painted by Becca workshop over recent weeks. A new full time job has certainly drained my time and energy but I am finally finding headspace to get back to the paint!

To ease myself in, a little project for my hallway. I have been searching for a while for a simple structure to transform and here she finally is! 😍

Next stop, a commissioned cabinet for a very special (and patient!) customer 🦚

🕊 🕯Polly 🕯🕊

I have had the absolute joy of being able to put my love into this very precious piece for my amazing sisters surprise birthday present.

This bureau belonged to her best friend who very sadly passed away due to covid in January 2021. It stood in Pollys farm shop and kept her bits and bobs organised (and many cuppas steady!) for many years. This Jentique bureau dates from the 1930’s but is still solid and as gorgeous as ever now she has had some TLC.

I’d like to think that Polly is pleased with the work that I have done, but even more, it feels like I have been able to give my sister a little piece of her back.

Meanwhile…. over on Instagram, this little beauty has been getting a lovely reception by the industry experts.

🌟🐘Transformation Time 🐘🌟

I was given the pleasure of working on this much loved family piece that had been sat waiting in the garage for 25 years for the right time to get some love and attention.

By far this has been one of my most challenging pieces to work on, having to choose between repairs and restorations that will enhance and those which could risk further damage in the pursuit of perfection. Miraculously all of the glass on this piece was intact but the structure was showing it’s age.

Some beautiful colour and theme choices by the customer and here she is!

🤫 Things have been a little quiet on here 🤫

But don’t been mistaken, I have been very busy working hard on a precious commission piece.

This treasured item has needed lots of gentle TLC, using a whole host of techniques to get it looking beautiful once again 🪄

I can’t wait to share it with you but for now I will give you this sneak peak of this beautiful paint I am using to accentuate it’s features.

✨ Now for something a little different ✨

This beautiful nest of two Nathan side tables have given me the opportunity to try out an alternative style. Inspired by the work of the wonderful Nicky at Done Up North; trying my hand with some black and gold chevron stripes. 🖤⭐️

These tables will be in my shop today and could be blinging up your home in time for Christmas!

🤔 Know what you want, but just can’t find it? 🤔

This is exactly the position my wonderful customers found themselves in. They wanted a side table to match their recently purchased dining/living room furniture but just couldn’t find one.

Not a problem! They sourced a side table the design they wanted but just not the finish. I created the look they were after using Fusion Mineral Paint to paint the base and stain and finish the top. Voila! ✨

🌟 New colour alert! 🌟

Just look at this beautiful Midnight Blue sideboard and wine rack which I completed just before half term for my wonderful friends. A fabulously crafted piece of solid oak furniture that was ready for an update.

Fully prepped and finished with Fusion Mineral Paint - Midnight Blue and Cappucino Stain and Finishing Oil using trusty Two Fussy Blokes rollers and ClingOn brushes for the perfect finish. Some new handles and the transformation was complete!

Just perfect 🤩

This gorgeous understated piece of functional yet fabulous furniture was actually painted for myself. Schoolgirl error of not measuring it first - but when you fall in love you go on impulse!!

The cabinet has interior wooden shelves with two lockable glass doors to show off all your stylish pieces for display.

Just look at the grain on that top panel - just stunning!! 😍
