1960s Arne Vodder Teak Desk
A refined example of 1960s Danish mid-century design, this teak desk was designed by Arne Vodder and has been carefully restored by Rework Sussex || Restoration & Design.
The desk features two dovetailed drawers with sculpted handles, while the clever sliding cabinet can be positioned on either side, allowing you to choose whether you work to the left or right of the drawer unit. Elegant details include the brass fittings at each end, connecting the slender tapered legs to the desk top. A thoughtfully designed and highly practical piece, combining Vodder’s characteristic attention to form and function with the warmth of richly grained teak. A superb statement desk for a home office or living space.

Two Ercol sofas. Two very different takes on comfort.
On one side, a refurbished Ercol Model 355 Studio Couch — a wonderfully versatile four-seater that can also be converted into a single bed by removing the back board. Newly upholstered in a smart tweed check fabric with contrasting green piping.
On the other, the Ercol Cosenza, a contemporary design with clear mid-century influences. Reupholstered in a cream and taupe floral fabric, with button-tufted back cushions and distinctive bullet-shaped oak legs inspired by Ercol’s iconic 1950s and 60s designs.
The Studio Couch is a piece of genuine mid-century design with practicality at its heart. The Cosenza takes inspiration from that same Ercol heritage but updates the proportions and comfort for contemporary living.

Ercol Model 376 Lattice Chairs Set of 6 | £795
A lovely set of six original 1960s Ercol Model 376 chairs, also known as the ‘Candlestick’ chairs. These came to us painted and have been stripped and restored.
Designed by Lucian Ercolani, the distinctive crossed spindle backs give these chairs their elegant, sculptural character, while the combination of solid elm seats and beech frames is classic Ercol.
These six have been fully refurbished, bringing them back to their best while retaining the beautiful character and warmth of the original timber.
A timeless piece of British mid-century design that works just as well around a dining table today.

Fritz Hansen 1960s Comb-Back Chair | £695
A sophisticated Nordic 1960s interpretation of the classic British Windsor chair, designed by Ove Boldt for Fritz Hansen. Ercol Model 461 Stacking Chairs | £295 each
We have seven refurbished Ercol Model 461 stacking chairs, originally commissioned by the Ministry of Education in the 1950s for use in British schools. Designed to be strong, practical and durable, all versions featured solid elm seats and sturdy beech frames, with the different sizes identified by coloured dots. These examples are the green dot size. Carefully refurbished, they retain the simple, functional charm of the original design and their robust construction makes them just as useful today. Perfect around a dining table, as occasional seating or for anyone looking for a practical piece of British mid-century design with a little history.

Ercol Sofa Model 203/2 | SOLD
A superb 1970s Ercol Windsor two-seater sofa, combining the clean lines of classic British design with exceptional comfort. The signature solid beech frame, with its elegant steam-bent detailing, has been carefully refurbished, while the sofa has been given a completely new lease of life with new cushions and soft blue and cream upholstery. The seat cushion is upholstered in blue with matching blue piping, while the cream scatter cushions are finished with contrasting blue piping — a subtle detail that ties the whole design together. Pair of E-Gomme Model 411 Siesta Chairs | £895
An exceptional piece of early British mid-century design, the Model 411 Siesta Chair was designed by V.B. Wilkins for E-Gomme, the company that would later become G-Plan. Produced in 1956, the design is all about its remarkable sculptural form — from the dramatically angled, kicked-back legs rising into smooth, ergonomic armrests, to the beautifully curved seat that appears to float within the oak frame. Both chairs have been fully restored. The solid oak frames have been carefully refinished, revealing a warm pale blonde tone, while the beech-framed seats have been stripped back and rebuilt with brand-new foam and upholstery. A rare and highly desirable chair that looks striking from every angle — and is as much a piece of sculpture as it is somewhere to sit.
