Just delivered these two stools to my lovely clients. They are such a pleasure to do work for 😊

They wanted an update of the cream quilted leather into something sleeker and more contemporary.

So we used this rich mottled faux leather to create a simpler finish and added buttons for detail.

I think it works really well with the chrome bases.

What a pleasure to finish this gorgeous chair for my lovely clients.

I have to thank them again for their patience as family stuff had slowed down its completion.

The Morris inspired leaf pattern in greys, cream and black really enhances a classic Parker Knoll chair and gave it a modern twist.

It’s super comfortable and hopefully will be used for many more years to come.

I’ve been asked to do another piece for the couple. This one is a family heirloom and has travelled all the way from America. I look forward to posting it soon 😊

I was commissioned by my auntie to make these gorgeous little armchairs for her beautiful twin granddaughters. They were each embroidered with their names by the wonderful Katie at khaosdesignstudios

The lovely blue floral fabric was a great choice too and gives the chairs a more classic look.

I am currently making one more as my aunt became a grandma three times over in one month!! I will post it when it’s finished.

I do love making these chairs as they will become something I hope their recipients treasure for some years to come. Even though they are small, they will comfortably fit a child for quite a long time and are upholstered in the same way as an adult armchair.

The famous (infamous) chair from blacklion.lb is on her way home!

It’s been a pleasure to be part of the amazing refurbishment of The Barn and the furniture in the main bar.

This lovely curved bench was delivered today. It was given a sleek new finish using a soft grey faux leather.

It is probably the largest piece I’ve had in my workshop and was great fun to do.

Happy to have delivered these gorgeous, comfy, ruby red bench cushions this morning. And the lovely Nikki was the first to test them out just to make sure 😉👌

Hopefully they will make your time at blacklion.lb even more enjoyable - those benches could be a little hard on the bottom after a while 😆

I rarely get to make things for myself and this door curtain has been on my list for quite some time….

I was really pleased with the fabric and I used the repeat in the pattern to create tab tops. So some reason I couldn’t loosen the curtain pole (must have been able to at some point 🤷‍♀️) so had to think of another way to attach it. The metal poppers work really well and are sturdy enough to hold the curtain securely.

Anyway, I think it looks great and as I’ve lined it with thermal/blackout lining it should also keep any draughts out 🤞

When the bench cushions you’re making are too big for your workshop! 😆

I’ve enjoyed making this mammoth 3 and a bit metre cushion, plus it’s slightly more manageable friends this week. Definitely the longest I’ve ever been asked to do and a lot of fun.

They have a lovely contrasting fabric on the back in case you want to have a change!

Gave me a workout wrestling the foam inserts haha 😆 But very pleased with the final result.

You’ll be able to enjoy them for yourselves soon at blacklion.lb when they have their grand opening of the newly renovated barn. It’s looking fabulous 🥰

Delivered this set of elegant dining room chair seats this week.

The subtle herringbone pattern in the soft blue grey compliments the wood of the chairs perfectly.

And an easy way to update and refresh your existing furniture. Especially when it is too good to replace with new.
