Bespoke media wall installation completed in Southend-on-Sea.

Custom built shelving with integrated LED lighting and a clean, minimal finish to complement the space and sea views.

Finished with a textured wallpaper surround, alongside mirrored back panels within the shelving to enhance the room’s natural brightness.

1st floor timber extension

Just some pictures over the last few weeks of the progress we’ve made on this extension. We’ve fit the ground floor joists, T&G flooring, external timber walls, gable ends and the timber roof structure.

The roof is now ready for the felt and batten, so we can concentrate on stud walls & frames inside

We’re also doing the soffit & fascia and cement boarding the 1st floor walls so they can be rendered

C H E V R O N F L O O R I N G

We fitted the chevron T&G flooring throughout the hallway, dining room & kitchen of this lovely London home!

Chevron flooring is always a challenge with lots of angled cuts and we also had a step to contend with. We wanted to make sure the trams lined up throughout the house and were parallel on both levels including the step riser. Taking the extra time was completely worth it as the outcome was great!

We then fitted architrave & skirting on top of the floating floor to hold it in place and hide the expansion gaps around the perimeter

S H A K E R W A R D R O B E S

Another wardrobe unit finished recently 😁

Internals are MFC for a hardwearing finish with MDF used for the doors & infills. The infills were sprayed on site and doors done in the booth

Push to open catches by to access the top section & soft close hinges always used for the doors.

C U R V E D S T A I R C A S E

This was a project we completed last year and has just been painted!

This staircase is the focal point as soon as you walk through the front door so the client wanted it to be grand 😍

We made sure there was lots of detail with chunky newel posts, twisted spindles & panelling around the base!

F L U T T E D M E D I A W A L L

This has been a great project and the before and after pictures show the massive difference! Swipe ➡️ to see the process …

The client wanted a sleek minimalist design with the TV flush to the wall and all of the broadband/ media boxes hidden. So we built out a fake chimney breast to give some dimension to the room and built push to open drawers to add storage whilst concealing boxes

The fluted MDF to face the bottom section of the unit was from . It was great quality and really easy to work with. I thought the face may be fluffy and hard to get a good painted finish, but that wasn’t the case at all.

As well as doing this media unit, we got the whole room plastered, added some sockets, moved the wall lights and fitted some flush ceiling spotlights. Then the MDF was sprayed in off-black No. 57 to complete the look

O A K S L A T T I N G

This white American oak was ripped down to 2x1 slats, sanded down and the corners chamfered. They were then treated with a clear oil before fitting.

The slats were housed into the base using a router and a jig to get each housing perfect. Doing it this way will stop the slats potential twisting. We then used a waterproof wood glue from to glue and pin the slats in place. The pin holes then covered with oak wax to finish off the seamless look
