Hi everyone....the children have had such a lovely time in our "Plant Pot Workshop" today.......the children all created their own pots, chose their own colours, mixed items together and poured into the moulds. Whilst the pots were setting the children had the opportunity to decorate their own flowers to go into their pots.

The children have been excitedly waiting to take part in this activity and tomorrow once the pots are fully set/dry the children will be able to take them home and proudly show them off.

The children were carefully listening to what they needed to do and able to follow instructions and let their own creativity shine through.....well done everyone.

A big thank you to Natasha from Flavour Like Fancy for delivering this workshop for us.....it was FAB.....we loved it.

In the baby room this week, we are continuing with the peek a boo activity.......but next week we will be changing our focus song and babbling baby activity to Old MacDonald had a Farm.

Please see below the words for the song (which I'm sure you already know) and the different activities we are going to be doing.

The children really love this song and enjoy using the puppets and toys, identifying the different animals and also the noises they make.......keep an eye out next week on your child's FAMLY account to see photographs of the activity.

At Little Owls City and Holbeck we believe in creating a warm and welcoming environment where every child and family feels valued.

This month we will be joining in with age appropriate activities to celebrate and recognise Pride month. The theme of this year's Pride month is - "CELEBRATING DIFFERENCES, EVERYONE CAN SPARKLE"

Our focus is entirely on teaching the children about kindness and friendship and the idea that every child and family are unique and special.

Through stories, crafts and discussions we will explore themes of love and acceptance and celebrate our differences.

We believe that children thrive when they see their own families represented and respected.

If you would like to share a story about your own families and traditions or have any questions about how we are exploring these topics.......please feel free to come and talk to a member of staff.

The children will be undertaking a SPONSORED OBSTACLE COURSE throughout June.

Staff will give you a sponsor form so you can ask your family and friends if they would like to sponsor your child.

ALL children will have pictures posted on Famly and receive a certificate to say they have taken part.

All the money raised will be used for our end of year parties in the rooms on Wednesday the 15th of July.
