A chance for mums to come along a have a coffee with other new mums in the area while your baby can play in a safe and friendly envirnoment. Its a drop in group so no need to book, we understand that babies sometimes sleep more or are unwell so its more flexible for you. Its a friendly relaxed group where you can sit and have a coffee and chat to friends with babies the same age or to meet mums if
you need to meet other first time mums or moved to the area. The Baby Group is for the mums as much as the babies as sometimes it feels isolating being at home with a new baby. Its nice to get out the house for a couple of hours and have an adult conversation and a cuppa. The toys are all very clean and safe for under 1's and even as they start to crawl it perfect as the room has carpet. There are no toddlers running about. We do songs with exercises at the end for the babies, each week we have bubbles, balloons or instruments out at songtime. The Baby Group also offers advice about other activities in the area and occassionally we have people come into talk and trial baby massage, baby signing and talks about postnatal depression. Great for NTC groups to meet at rather than each others house as not everyone has the room for lots of babies to play. Coffee shops are great when your baby is tiny but as they are getting more aware and mobile they are not so happy sitting in a pushchair while you have a chat with friends, The Baby Group is for both of you to have a bit of time to enjoy. Pick up advice from other mums going through the same things as you. Quotes from Mums that have been to The Baby Group:
"The perfect first social activity for me and my baby once I was ready to leave the house again!"

"A lifeline to meet other mums in a similar situation to me." Rachael Miller
"I had just moved to Cobham with a newborn baby when the health visitor told me about THe Baby Group. It proved to be a lifeline for me; I made lovely friends, my son enjoyed socialising, and I gained invaluable tips particularly on things to do in Cobham and further a field." Lou Devine
"Being a 1st time mom is scary & can be lonely if u have no friends in the area who are going through what you are. Baby group was some where (outside the house) I could go once a week, have a cuppa & a chat in a relaxed baby safe area. I made wonderful friends who's children are now my toddlers friend and my very good friends!! 2 years on I have come to realise that baby group was a life saver for me!! Thank you Sacha!!"
