We’re Hiring! Full-Time Manufacturing Agent 🛠️
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking person to join our small team at Maelstrom Lancaster, a small family run business specialising in the manufacture of quality kitchens and bedrooms.
The Details:
• Permanent, Full-Time (Monday–Thursday 8.30am-5pm, Friday 8.30am-3pm)
• Based in Galgate, near Lancaster, LA2
• Great rates of pay (Above National Living Wage) + generous holiday entitlement
• Paid 1-day trial available for the right candidate
The Role Involves:
This is a varied, hands-on role in a busy manufacturing environment. Some of your daily responsibilities will include:
• Receiving, unpacking, and checking incoming goods and deliveries.
• Checking, drilling, and preparing kitchen/bedroom doors.
• Assembling and wrapping units and panels
• Boxing up hardware and assessing stock levels
• Loading the company van and undertaking/assisting with deliveries to clients.
• Greeting customers and visitors and assisting with their collection of goods.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe factory environment.
What We Are Looking For:
• Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence is highly preferred due to our rural location and delivery duties.
• Physical Fitness: Confident with heavy lifting and manual handling (training will be provided).
• Key Skills: Excellent timekeeping, a positive attitude, and strong communication skills.
• Team Player: Someone who thrives in a collaborative, small-team environment.
Future Growth:
For the right candidate, there is the opportunity for growth into operating specialised machinery including CNC machine and Edge Ba**er.
