Whimsical folk….

If magical, whimsy folk is a thing I’m here for it.

Hand painted dusky pink details pop against the deep aubergine base. For a more is more approach to decorative interiors.

Long summer days have been filled with sparks of creativity and a workshop filled with paint and birdsong for company. Bliss ✨

Forget me not details….

Currently obsessed with vintage wallpapers from my childhood, creating a real sense of nostalgia. It seems to be influencing the patterns I’m wanting to paint. This design has been in my sketchbook since springtime when the forget me nots were abundant, waiting for the right piece. What’s not to love about these tiny vibrant blue pockets of joy, that seem to arrive at just the right time at the end of a long dark winter.

Hand painted ‘Forget me not’ oak drawers now available.

Back in the workshop this week trying a new design. My social media game has been lacking of late. So many changes. Must try harder. Maybe at some point you will see me dancing to camera 🎥 but for the meantime stills and hand shots feels right for me. Speak soon, H

Chequerboard details…

The month so far has brought hours spent painting late into the evening on multiple projects. Including this rather lovely chequerboard wardrobe in a classic red and white combo. Each element hand painted for a bespoke finish.

Taking a couple of days to pull together some new pattern ideas then back on the brushes 🎨

Full moon rising….

It’s wardrobe season in the workshop. Long summer days spent painting decorative details on repeat fuelled by coffee and birdsong. Bliss.

Commissioned details…

May has been spent painting late into the night working on multiple pieces for a recent commission. This rather lovely double wardrobe hand painted to replicate the ‘Big Top’ design by Linwood has been a joy to paint. Can’t wait to see in situ.

Back in the workshop this week adapting my celestial design on a larger piece. Birdsong and coffee essential.

Celestial details…

Sharing a recent commission for a lovely returning client incorporating the moons phases. A treasured cabinet given some celestial details in navy and silvery grey tones.

Featured….

Had the honour of welcoming Country Living into the workshop recently. We filmed a step by step tutorial on how to paint a decorative tray, a lovely mini project for a weekend of creativity.
