Such a find! This is one of the comfiest chairs I’ve ever sat in and I’ve tried and tested a lot of chairs. Can’t wait to have some fun with this. It’s gonna be a show stopper without doubt. Adding to the store Spring/Summer 😎 🌞

Matt came to me after finding this poor soul left unwanted at Lancaster Uni after a clear out. It appears only Matt could see the potential in this little Mid Century classic!

After spending its life at the Uni he was a little bit sorry and sad when he landed with us but just look at him now, shining bright 💙

Having something reupholstered has so many positives… the individuality, the history, the character, the choice of fabric and the fact you saved something perfectly useable from landfill - it far exceeds buying something new!

It’s been a traditional week in the workshop! This lot has headed back to Kirkby Lonsdale this morning to my lovely client in time for Easter with the Grandkids.

The sofa is well over 100 years old and the two armchairs date of manufacture is nearly 70 years ago. It takes a high skill set and many years of experience in upholstery to complete furniture like this to a high standard.

Would love someone to grab a real bargain here and treat themselves to this Parker Knoll sofa. This little guy has been half complete in the workshop for a while but he’s now finished and looking for a forever home.

He’s been reupholstered in William Morris Acanthus velvet and of course we got a little quirky with a subtle button configuration and a mix of fabrics for the piping.

Although I am a HUGE Morris fan and completely adore this fabric, this piece wont be making it to my online store as I would like the designs to be coherent throughout the shop. The thing is, I love lots of different design styles, (particularly the Arts & Craft period) but I have to pick one and stick with it 😁 we need the space in the workshop and he’s been homeless for long enough!

Just approaching 11 years since i first set out as a lone upholsterer and launched this little business. It’s been one hell of a ride!

I’ve been wanting to shake the brand up for a while as it’s evolving so much! What with the Interior Design Diploma (moving painfully slowly btw 😅) and (finally) setting up an online store to name the two biggies.

Absolutely 100% spinning too many plates ATM but enjoying life more than ever and it’s been made even better with the new brand design.

I wanted fun and fairly simple with my favourite colour as the key player (no points for guessing this by the way). Along came like a Branding Goddess from above to smash all my hopes and needs in the world of Graphic Design. This girl is unbelievably thorough, creative and for dealing with me has the patience of a Saint.

LOVE the new look for the biz… simple, colourful, fun and most importantly, very me 💜

I’m Lucianne Hinch, 31 years old and living in Yorkshire with my Airedale Terrier, Ian. For the past 14 years I have worked as an upholsterer and was lucky enough 7 years since to take the plunge and become my own upholstery boss.

A little bit of me

In reality, upholstery wasn't something I was dreaming of throughout school and truthfully, I just laded in the job after throwing caution to the wind and packing college in after a year. This being said, I have always been arty and creative and as it turns out, upholstery was calling my name all along.
