Hi there ,

This year I'm going to try and post a bit more often , so I can share with you more of my work .

Last year I was commissioned to fully re-upholster a 1920's clam back 3 piece suite , it hails from times of the Art Deco style .
The client wanted a similar style of fabric with a more vibrant shade .

The frames were stripped to the bare bones and were upholstered using modern but sympathetic fillings and springs .

The suite came out looking like it was just made back in the 1920'sand the client was extremely happy with the finished product , which means that I did my job .

The photos show how I first received the suite and back in situ at their home .

Good afternoon folks 😀 . As per usual I've been busy but I feel it's time to share a few of my recent projects. A customer gave me a mass produced wing chair along with some Harris tweed and wanted it to look like similar to one's I did a few years ago .
I re-framed the arms to give them more definition and then a full recover .
I the frame was finished with antique nail strip and the seat cushion was piped with the frame fabric to give it a nice contrast.
Th finishing touch was to attach a Harris tweed label to the side of the chair.

As usual it's been a bit busy of late but I had to share this sofa that I recently reupholstered in aquaclean velvet.

I originally recovered the sofa in February 1998 just a few months after I started Brian Inglis Upholstery.

I've been a bit quiet posting my recent projects as it's been very busy.
I was commissioned by a customer to provide 2 wing chairs similar to one's that I did for a restaurant and as usual I was able to deliver

Here is my latest commission at The Tavern Ardler .
It was a complete rebuild and extension of the wall seating and the finishing touches to the cosy corners.
It is covered in Balmoral textiles fabric and vinyl.
Alan and Clare are over the moon with the outcome and will be waiting patiently for the restrictions to lift so you can enjoy the updated Tavern.
