Employability Orkney supports a range of volunteer skill development placements and supported employee positions. RESTART ORKNEY
Restart Orkney is a well-established and successful social enterprise which provides supported employment and skill development for adults and young people with a barrier to maintaining employment. Restart Orkney sells good quality second-hand furniture and household items to the general public at affordable prices but also helps to provide furniture and white goods to our local council to help individuals who are struggling to move in to and furnish their own property. Everything for sale at Restart Orkney has been kindly donated by the Orkney community. One of our aims at Restart Orkney is to re-use and recycle household items with the aim of reducing waste. We divert huge amounts from incineration and landfill every year. Our skilled team maximise this aim by carrying out small repairs, PAT testing all electrical items and ensuring all items are clean and in good working order before going on sale. THINGS YOU WILL BE ABLE TO FIND INCLUDE:
Furniture including sofas, beds, wardrobes, chests of drawers, tables and chairs
White goods and electrical items i.e., TV’s, lamps etc – (Everything is PAT tested before going on sale)
Toys, Books, DVDs, CD's and Vinyl
