Another massive shout-out to our brilliant community for the continued support and enthusiasm at our monthly litter pick!

What an amazing effort from everyone involved. We collected over 20 bags of rubbish, which is absolutely phenomenal. It was fantastic to see so many new faces alongside our wonderful regulars, and especially great to have some of our younger residents getting stuck in too.

We’re always looking for more volunteers. You don’t have to wait for the first Sunday of the month - you can grab a bag anytime and do your own street or area when it suits you. The only thing we ask is that you leave any purple bags next to a public bin in the village so they’re collected with the regular waste.

The difference we’re making is amazing. We must surely be one of the cleanest villages in Surrey.

A big thank you as always to KBCA and KRA for their ongoing support, refreshments, and use of the village hall. It makes a huge difference. And a very special shout-out to Chantal for washing our kit and for the absolutely delicious cake today, which didn’t last long!

It really is something special to be part of a community like this. Thank you.

Amazing Anna Howie Concert

What a fantastic evening at Kingswood Village Hall last night!

We were treated to incredible live music from Anna Howie and her band, beautifully supported by talented local singer Rosa Hale. Both performances were absolutely stunning, and it was no surprise it was a complete sell-out!

I went not knowing what to expect and ended up loving every minute. Here’s hoping we’ll see both Anna and Rosa back again very soon.

A huge thank you to them for such a gorgeous evening, and to the KVCA for organising it all so brilliantly. Events like this don’t happen without a lot of hard work behind the scenes, so a big shoutout to everyone involved, including The Village Stores for helping with ticket sales, and The Khyber and The Kingswood Arms for making pre-event dining such a treat.

Community really is everything, and we’re lucky to have one of the very best here in Kingswood.

Another successful litter pick done!

Our village is a little bit cleaner and clearer of litter today thanks to a small but mighty group of volunteers.

We collected 10 full sacks, which is no mean feat for such a small turnout this morning.

We’re incredibly lucky to have such amazing people in our village. Huge thank you to everyone who came/comes along.

We’d love to see some new faces next time.

Join us for the next pick on the first Sunday of March (weather permitting).

See you there.

It was wonderful to see such a great turnout for our first litter pick of the year, with both new faces and familiar ones joining in. Thank you all so much.

As you can see from the photo, we collected a huge amount of litter. While it’s disappointing to see how much there is, it’s incredibly uplifting to see so many people in our village willing to get out and make a difference together.

If you’re looking for a New Year resolution, litter picking is a great one. It’s good exercise, a lovely way to meet people, and a positive step for both the village and the environment.

Thank you again to everyone who came along, and special thanks to Sapna for the delicious biscuits and to Chantal for the warm drinks and friendly chat at the end.

Our next litter pick is on the first Sunday of February @ 10:30. Please do join us. It’s a really welcoming and rewarding group to be part of.
