For existing customers-

Personalised breakdowns telling each customer how they'll impacted are going out soon and will arrive in the next 2-3 weeks. We’d recommend all customers wait to receive this before making a decision to switch.

In the meantime you can provide peace of mind that UW will:

- Waive any exit fees for fixed tariffs (so they can switch to a variable one at no cost)

- Backdate payments to 1 September (so customers who signed-up to a fixed close to the announcement, won’t lose out in comparison to the variable rate)

- If customers want to switch an Standard Variable Tariff, we’re making it easy to do so but please be aware if you switch out of your fixed tariff you will not be able to move back until further notice.
