It has been a beautiful sunny weekend and hope you’ve all had chance to be out in the garden.
If you’ve been doing jobs around the house and garden perhaps you’ve noticed some pest activity such as new holes opening up in and around brickwork, drainpipes, sheds, garage etc. this could be evidence of rodent activity and something worth investigating further.
Queen wasps are starting to wake up from hibernation and will be looking for sites suitable to build nests.
Ants are becoming active, we’re starting to see them crawling around outside and if the mild weather continues we could see them becoming a big issue in the next few months.
Perhaps you’ve been doing a bit of spring cleaning of the kitchen and noticed torn or shredded packaging, food being chewed or even evidence of droppings in or underneath cupboards. A rat or mouse infestation can progress quickly in the spring and getting advice early on is recommended.
