Proud to be taking part in UK Small Business Week this week!

The second picture outlines the official aims, but from my perspective, completing every footstool, armchair, cushion or beloved sofa for my lovely clients means so much.

It means shared trust.

Trust in me to do an amazing job giving treasured pieces a new lease of life.

Trust to use the best materials, fabrics and not take shortcuts.

Trust to do right by the environment, regulations, pay my taxes, reply to queries.

All of it. Because like so many other Small Business owners, I really care.

So what DOES happen when an upholsterer and milliner collaborate??

The big reveal of the tub chairs we've been working on is finally here!!

The process: I measured up, made up the backs and took them to .pocock who then designed each one and spent hours hand embroidering them to depict the FOUR SEASONS. She then delivered them back to me for upholstering.

What do you think? Amazing to take something quite ordinary and through vision & craftsmanship have something truly unique.

This was so much fun to do!
My lovely client's family used to own a furniture making business in the 70s/80s and this was one of the original pieces! I've never seen anything quite like it, so I enjoyed the challenge of something a bit different.
Loving the retro vibe of the chenille which is just perfect 👌
My client said she's absolutely delighted with the result, and "she and her husband are going to be fighting over it, as it is so comfortable". That's what we like to hear!

Finished just in time for Christmas! 🎄

Two traditional armchairs came in this month much in need of TLC. Both needed completely new hand sprung seats with spring edges which seemed to take forever that I started to get a bit concerned about my deadline 🥴 - needn't have worried and my lovely client was delighted. Phew!
