ROLE: VEHICLE TECHNICIAN
JOB TYPE: PERMANENT, Full Time
SALARY: £30,000-£45,000 DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE
We are a progressive and expanding business based in Ipswich seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician to join our workshop.
Key responsibilities include:
· To be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to company standards.
· Undertake vehicle road testing for diagnosis and to test repairs.
· Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues.
· Maintain accurate electronic records of all work performed and parts used.
· Obtain appropriate authorisation if additional work is required on a vehicle.
· Undertake timely repairs and servicing of customer vehicles
· Work closely with the service team and ensuring they are kept informed of the progress of work on customer vehicles and they are fully briefed on work completed.
· Maintain a clean and organised work area.
Skill requirements
· NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Repair equivalent or higher.
· At least 1 years of experience as a vehicle technician.
· Ability to use diagnostic tools and software.
· MOT licence preferred but not essential
· Strong problem-solving skills.
· Excellent attention to detail
· Valid driver's license.
Working Hours: 44 Hours per week between 7am – 6pm over 4 days a week, no weekends with a rolling day off and including a one hour unpaid lunch break.
