It was great to visit some of the team at Whitemeadow Furniture in Sutton in Ashfield today.

They have been working hard fundraising with their Christmas raffle and raised a brilliant £960.

The company also contributed towards the donations to round it up to a final total of £1500!

Good luck to Aidan Wilson and Stuart Daykin who will tomorrow represent Whitemeadow and cycle 109km from Silverstone to Kegworth to raise money for The Furniture Makers' Company

We were delighted to welcome Rachel Wilson, Fundraising Manager for Children's Bereavement Centre in Newark, into our Head Office yesterday to present her with a cheque for over £800, raised by our wonderful staff here at Whitemeadow.
It's a truly fantastic charity that last year supported over 900 bereaved children in the Nottinghamshire/Lincolnshire area, despite the challenges raised by the pandemic. We look forward to raising more money for this great cause over the next few months!

We had the pleasure of participating in the Tim Bloyce Cup Furniture Football Tournament on Sunday 3rd July. The lads had a fantastic day and the money raised was for a great cause. Thank you to Ocee Design & The Furniture Makers'​ Company for arranging this incredible day. We look forward to next year 😀

Proud to Support Children's Bereavement Centre ☺️

Our staff were given the option to vote for a local Nottinghamshire Charity for us to raise funds for, and the one with the most votes was the Children's Bereavement Centre based in Newark. This will be our local charity of the year.

The Children’s Bereavement Centre is run by a committed team of friendly, supportive and professional people who are passionate about helping children and young people to cope with the grieving process brought on by the death or terminal illness diagnosis that has a prognosis of a year or less for survival of someone close.

Thank you to the team Abseiling Derbyshire for looking after us so well this weekend.
Members of the Whitemeadow team were out in force to raise money for The Furniture Makers'​ Company Step 2 It campaign and help raise £250,000 to support people from the trade who have been impacted by Covid-19.

Whitemeadow are committed to working with the local community and educating and inspiring the next generation of furniture makers, so to support National Careers week we ran an Open Week; whereby we invited local schools to visit our facilities and find out more about British furniture manufacturing and the skills involved.
The pupils were full of energy and eager to find out how we make sofas!
We look forward to hopefully employing some of them in a few years time!

Offering equal opportunities are part of the core of our business and we've been working hard to break the stereotypes surrounding roles in manufacturing. We're proud to encourage women into all our roles at Whitemeadow, including Upholsterers, HGV drivers and Production Operatives 💪🏻 ♀️

In recognition of National Careers Week, we're welcoming over 160 local school children to Whitemeadow to show them the variety of careers available on their doorstep. They'll be getting some hands on experience with our upholstery and sewing trainers, plus finding out about the apprenticeships we offer here at Whitemeadow. They'll also get a tour of our industry leading showroom and have the chance to talk to our design and development teams! 🧵🔨✏

Yesterday we were very proud to help get much needed supplies to the people

Massive thanks to our team who arrived back from a depo just outside Manchester airport last night, where they have taken a van full of donations collected in Clay Cross and at Nuffield Health Chesterfield.
