💚🧡A slightly alternative hair request this morning!! My son decided he desperately wanted to go as an Oompa Loompa for World Book Day at school today. As he has so much hair this was the perfect character for him 😆💚🧡.
🩷❤️🦷My daughters Tamara Tooth Fairy hair request was a simpler chic side ponytail with curls at the front 🧚🩷❤️
Hair is there to have fun with! And fun we had 😀.
We can take hair inspiration from anywhere, it doesn’t have to be as wacky as this but keep an open mind and look every where for that ray of inspiration to have some hair fun! Styling,colouring or cutting. The options are there for the taking.

Captivating Copper 🧡🧡🧡

My beautiful client requested a bright cooper shade for her lovely long locks and here is the stunning result. We finished the look with a good cut, taking a good 4 inches off the bottom with a curved baseline and a slightly textured softer ends. In the front I added in a bit more hair to the fringe to make it fuller and more arched around the face.

I’m posting an update to all my clients to let you know that as of the 1st January my prices will be rising.
I have held out for as long as possible but with the increased cost of living and prices rising considerably for my supplies I now need to do this.
My new prices are all on my website for you to take a look if you would like.

I am also updating my cancellation policy. Please notify me with 48 hours of your appointment date of any cancellations. If less than 48 hours notice is given I will charge a 50% fee of your service. I am a small business so any last minute cancellations impacts hme heavily, so I hope
you understand why I need to implement this.

CONSULTATION CONSULTATION CONSULTATION! It’s the key to great hair!

After a great consultation on our first appointment our plan was to get the colour looking fab and manageable along with getting the condition of her hair back into a good place and longer in length.
After damage caused by unprotected heat styling over a long period of time it wasn’t ever getting longer.
But since I started doing my clients hair and we have this great programme in place it’s now working! It’s healthier and growing longer!
On each appointment we re-consult together and I advise on best ways to keep this plan going in the right direction. With regular haircuts, great colour services and the right products it’s the prescription for success.
Today was a freshen up tint regrowth and a cut and blow dry.
We top up with a tint on the roots in between a highlight and tint appointment to just cover those roots and blend very naturally. Along with a good cut and blow dry to continue getting the best result for healthier longer hair.

My client sent me her before photo and asked for her colour to be broken up and cooled down. So hey presto a fab result. Using the right tones with balayage highlights achieves the result she desired. A happy client 😀

Sassy Bob! Why not!?! Loved chopping this beautiful restyle with a big brighten up of a full head of highlights too!
I love the strong fringe vibes in the style too. My client carries this brilliantly in a smooth style or a more ruffled fun textured bob on other days too.
Experiment with hair, it always grows and can change as you need!

I have a few clients who have beautiful naturally red hair and I’m so jealous! My twin sister has red hair so I’ve always had a soft spot for the utter beauty of it!
I love the opportunity of colouring red hair, weather it’s to make it brighter, enhance it or keep it natural and cover a few pesky white hairs without it looking ‘dyed’.

⚖️ 💇‍♀️ Work Life Balance 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦⚖️

It is possible!!

It’s always a juggle which so often we feel we fail at. But it truly can happen for you!

I used to work crazy long days,nights and weekends thinking it was what was best for my career and my family. Turns out it really wasn’t.

As for so many, the pandemic really made me reassess what I was doing with my life.
I LOVE my job but knew things had to change. Not just for my health but my family’s wellbeing too. Missing out on so much just for that extra set of highlights wasn’t a good balance.

I’m now not working weekends and able to take my kids to things and see my husband more and without my business being any worse off for it.
I realised that just getting in a good routine that everyone is on board with, family and clients it really works. It actually works better all involved, they feel more secure with knowing my availability and regular hours.

There has never been a better time to take advantage of changing your work life balance. So may people work from home and flexi hours now, we are all in it together! To achieve this better balance and convenience.

So many of my clients love me doing there hair while working from home. I’m super relaxed about it while they tap away on the computer or take calls etc. It frees up their evenings and weekends and no worry of extra childcare to get their hair done.
Free to enjoy the other fun stuff in life!
