It is with great sadness that we share the news that our founder and chairman, Kenneth Anderson, passed away last week. He had been battling cancer and other illnesses, but went peacefully in hospital with loved ones with him.

Ken established Andrena Furniture with his wife Marina in August 1973, so it is particularly poignant that this week marks 50 years of his family business. This milestone is bittersweet seeing how far we’ve come and how we still pride ourselves on the quality and values that Ken and Marina strove for. We’re still a family business and until very recently, Ken was still popping into the factory and getting stuck in! Ken and Marina’s son Gary and grandson Ed continue to lead the company with strength in this difficult time.

Thank you for all the support and kind messages from those who knew Ken. We’ve shared some photos here in memory of him.

We are looking to employ a general hand to carry out a wide range of tasks in a busy furniture factory. The successful applicant will be working as part of a team assisting unloading and loading delivery vehicles, machining components, assembling furniture as well as being responsible for the general tidiness and upkeep of the workplace.

The role will include a reasonable amount of heavy lifting so training in safe manual handling will be provided.

Working hours are 7:30 - 16:00, Monday to Friday, overtime may be available at busy periods.
