Marc's Rustic Retreat Beautiful rustic hand made furniture Hi, my names Marc. Thanks for checking out my page. I only source and work with aged timber. I never use new wood.

I love to design, build and create beautiful pieces of furniture, shelves and display pieces. I prefer all the character, marks, imperfections and the beautiful aged grain to give that lovely rustic look. I hand pick aged and characterful wood, and carefully take each piece through a series of hand sanding techniques. Then i cut it, smooth it, round all the corners and finally build it, ensuring i

t looks great. Nothing leaves the workshop until i'm completely 100% happy as i want my customers to feel the same way! I spend lots of hours on each piece... nothing is rushed or built for speed. Each piece is unique as each piece of wood is different with different natural colours and characteristics. I don't stain anything. Each piece utilises the natural tones and character of the wood. I ensure the finish is both lovely to look at, but also with a beautiful smooth texture. My focus is on the natural rustic beauty and feel. I'm passionate about what i do and i hope this shows in my work.
