For this project, we travelled down to Portland to source the stone before bringing it back to our Chiltern Hills workshop for fabrication. The finished fireplaces feature matching Portland Limestone surrounds, hearths and interior slips, creating a beautifully cohesive look throughout.

A lovely project we worked on in Rickmansworth using Antalya Limestone, sometimes also known as New Cream Limestone.

We supplied and installed the stone around the swimming pool along with the surrounding paving and detailing. It’s a material that works beautifully outdoors thanks to its soft light tones, natural variation, and timeless appearance.

Brazilian slate floor and steps that we installed several years ago, still looking as good as the day we installed it.

This flooring and stair set was crafted using Brazilian slate with a natural riven finish, including bullnose treads and rises throughout. We often recommend Brazilian slate for high-use areas because it tends to be harder and more durable than many Italian slates, which can mark and scratch more easily over time.

The textured riven finish also helps disguise everyday wear, making it a practical choice for busy homes while still retaining plenty of natural character.
