Give the gift of muddy boots, campfire cooking and quality time together instead.

Join us for our special Dads in the Woods session with Wylder Forest School.

🌿 Build dens
🔥 Cook over the campfire
🪵 Explore and play in nature
🎨 Create woodland crafts
👨‍👧‍👦 Spend uninterrupted time together outdoors

Open to dads, grandads, uncles and male carers.

A relaxed morning in the woods where children lead the adventure and grown-ups get the chance to reconnect with nature, their children and other local families.

Free today? Why not come along for a play 🌳

Unfortunately today will be our last day before summer as I have been unsuccessful in finding cover whilst I go on placement for uni 😪

Wyld dad's will run on Sun 14th and I will organise a family session for July. Summer dates will also be up soon!

If you can't make it today hopefully I will see you over the summer ❤️

We’re back this week 🌿✨

After a very challenging few months with storms, flooding and lots of uncertainty, I’m so happy to say we’re finally ready to return to the woods.
A huge thank you to Mr Wylder for making the shelter safe again 🙏 and to all of you who have messaged, checked in and supported — it really has meant so much 💚

We’ll be starting again this week with:
🌿 Little Explorers (12m+)
🕙 10:00–12:00
🌲 Wyld EDventures
🕐 1:00–4:00

Sessions will be a little more “back to basics” while we settle back in — think campfires, nature play, crafts, den building, exploring and plenty of muddy fun.

🐾 LITTLE EXPLORERS 🐾

Join us for our last 3 sessions of 2025!

Tomorrow we will be exploring hibernation and help the animals by making winter homes ❤️

Temps have dropped over the last week but
Getting outside in winter is vital — it supports children’s mental health, builds resilience, offers rich sensory experiences, and teaches them that nature and play don’t stop just because it’s cold.
Also ties in well when we are thinking about the animals that live in the woods and surviving winter.

Remember to dress little ones in layers — a thermal base, warm midlayer, and waterproof outer layer — plus warm hats, waterproof mittens, and thick socks. If they’re warm and dry, they can enjoy the magic of winter play.
Little tip for feet waterproof/neoprene socks under wellies if they are not lined but if you haven't got any try a pair of socks, nappy sack/dog bag, socks then boots.
This applies to you as well don't forget about you, you are just as important ❤️

After a long week I'm looking forward to getting into the woods with you all ❤️

The temp has dropped a bit so make sure you've got your under layers or a couple of extra thin layers. Little tip to stop cold feet put a poo bag/nappy sack in between 2 pairs of socks in your wellies 😀 Spare gloves come in handy too ❤️

🌿 Well I'm halfway through my first term and i wanted to share a video i recently created for my Occupational Therapy course as part of my WFOT (World Federation of Occupational Therapists) module, and I wanted to share it with you because of course one on my favourite occupations is Forest School! I love how Occupational Therapy connects beautifully with Forest School philosophy.

In Occupational Therapy, occupation means the meaningful activities that people do every day — the things that give us purpose, joy, and connection. Forest School offers rich opportunities for occupation: from building dens and exploring nature, to developing confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging.

Both OT and Forest School celebrate meaningful engagement, wellbeing, and the power of nature to support growth 🌱
