My latest furniture project .... is the restoration of a beech wood sideboard which had a very damaged and scratched top.

The top was sanded and stained and then left to dry for 48 hours and then sanded again using the finest ‘600’ sandpaper and the re-stained and oiled. The shell, doors and drawers were painted in three coats of Annie Sloan Svenska Blue Chalk Paint

Probably one of my favourite projects.... the restoration of a period dark oak chest of drawers.

The top was reduced in size, sanded then oiled and waxed. The shell and drawers painted in three coats of Frenchic Hornblower ‘The Lazy Range’

The handles were removed and replaced with pewter cup handles.

My latest project for a local client was a set of four rustic heavy weight oak shelves for their son’s bedroom in their grade II listed home.

My latest project was for a previous customer who wanted a tv cabinet up-cycling to match her recently refurbed sideboard. This involved sanding the top, bottom and feet then adding a dark wood stain. The sanded wood was then finished with Osmo Satin Top Oil to give a hard durable finish. The sides, shelves and door were finished in Frenchic Lazy Range in Salt of the Earth and the handle replaced with a new k**b chosen by my customer.

A personal restoration project for our own kitchen.

This cabinet has had many lives so far. It arrived with me already having had an overhaul in its 80+ year life and was painted shabby chic style in cream.

I firstly removed the whole top of the unit replacing it with a 2" slab of Sweet Chestnut with a Waney Edge. I then sanded the top and side edges to give it the smoothest of finishes and then applied Osmo wood protection and painted it it dark grey to match our kitchen.

It has since had a further overhaul and has now been repainted in French Navy using Frenchic Lazy Range and the top has had the waney edging removed and a coat of Satin Wood Top Oil to give it a very hard waterproof finish.

My client wanted this ducal pine chest of drawers brought to life again and my brief was a football theme for their foot...
