Based in Helensburgh I provide an antique and vintage furniture restoration service in west and cent This includes repairs, polishing and upholstery.

I restore antique and vintage furniture belonging to customers. I undertake all types of work from repairing accidental damage or repolishing to a full restoration of a cherished family heirloom. I am based in Helensburgh and work independently from a workshop at my home. I am trained and experienced and use traditional methods and materials. I offer a professional and reliable service with the ma

jority of my business coming from recommendations by satisfied customers. I will undertake a full appraisal of your item and discuss your requirements with you. This can be done by sending me detailed photographs or by arranging, if required, to visit your home. I restore furniture in my workshop or small repairs, such as scratches, can be undertaken in your home. I provide a written quote in advance for the service and the timescale for completion. A full written analysis of the work carried out is provided on completion with advice on how to look after your restored furniture.

Parker Knoll 749 mark 1 armchair. Made c1960. Wood refinished and chair recovered with my customers teal linen fabric

Victorian Folding Card Table.
Fully restored and polished. The beautiful book match walnut top can now be seen after careful removal of the non period lacquer coating.

Edwardian Arm Chair
Smashing chair. Fully restored for my customer. Frame repaired where joints broken and then stained and polished. Old upholstery removed and seat rebuilt with period stuffing materials.

Edwardian envelope fold card table

Given a new lease of life. New baize cloth fitted. Wood stained to restore colour and a soft sheen achieved with shellac polish and beeswax.

Early Victorian Balloon Back Chair

Beautiful chair now it’s restored with repairs to the frame, new overstuffed seat and top cover fabric provided by my customer. Really enjoyed working on it.

Early 20th century bureau. Oak wood.
A light restoration to remedy water and heat staining on the bureau top and remove various scratches and marks. Oak wood looks fabulous with a satin sheen re-polish.
