Celebrating Volunteers' Week 2026
This week, we're taking the opportunity to thank all of the amazing volunteers who help make Home Basics possible!
When Home Basics was established nearly 25 years ago, it was built on the dedication and commitment of volunteers. Today, volunteers remain at the heart of our organisation, some with us from the very beginning, helping us support thousands of people across the Scottish Borders with access to affordable household essentials.
Whether sorting donations, supporting customers, helping in our stores, contributing as a Trustee on our Board or assisting behind the scenes, every hour volunteered helps make a positive difference in our community.
To all our current and former volunteers: THANK YOU. Your generosity, kindness and hard work have helped shape Home Basics into what it is today.
