CPS worked with the Canterbury Christ Church University on the new state-of-the-art Verena Holmes Building with STEM facilities. We designed, manufactured and installed timber-tiered flooring and collaborative bench seating systems in two lecture theatres. A total of 308 lecture theatre seats were installed, with 154 seats in each lecture room.

CPS Manufacturing Co worked with the University of Birmingham to deliver two flagship lectures and collaborative rooms from concept to completion.

The two flat-floored rooms had tiered flooring systems installed in a mix of timber and steel.

The large, traditional lecture hall installed 500 Type lecture theatre seats, our top-of-the-range lecture seat.

The smaller, collaborative room had 250 seats installed, combining the Inova turn and learn seats and the Type seats. The combination of these two seats has been uniquely designed to maximise student collaboration.

CPS designed, manufactured, and installed lecture theatre seating in the Larkin building at the University of Hull. CPS worked with Trevor Dowling Architects and the University of Hull.

The Larkin building was named after poet Philip Larkin who served as the Head Librarian at the University of Hull for over thirty years. The Larkin building is home to the faculty of the arts. The building was initially built in 1965.

In total, 443 seats were fitted into the Larkin lecture theatres. We installed 94 seats into lecture theatre D. 59 Vario seats and 35 self-parking lecture theatre seats were fitted.

Retractable seating can be ideal for smaller venues right up to venues that need temporary seating for events due to its space-saving nature and adaptability. These systems are used in concert halls, theatres, sports halls, arenas, schools, universities, and conference venues.

CPS completed a series of seating projects for the large university in Durham, which comprised lecture theatres, bespoke self-study areas and bespoke relaxation seating. CPS designed, manufactured and installed the whole project working closely with the university and architect to help decide on layout design and colour schemes.

In 2015, Cardiff University approached CPS Manufacturing Co about installing lecture theatre seating. In total, 1382 seats were installed in six buildings across three campuses in Cardiff. CPS Manufacturing Co worked with leading contractors Knox and Wells and architects Boyes Rees Architects on this project.

1,320 Vario seats were installed in 10 lecture theatres at the university. Each room had multiple colours, seat widths and back heights. All the desks had USB power and data modules. They required cable channels to be routed into the desks' underside and coordinated with the frame positions for running cables and avoiding induction loops in the floor.

CPS was awarded the 2012 Olympic Games' leading media and press hub contract. We were tasked with designing, manufacturing, supplying and installing auditorium seating in the media centre for interviewing winning athletes after their respective events in the Games.
