At Home with Poul Kjærholm.

Perched above the Øresund Strait in Rungsted, Denmark, Poul Kjærholm’s family home remains one of the most beautiful expressions of modernist living we have ever seen.

Designed in 1962 by architect Hanne Kjærholm and filled with Poul’s own furniture, the villa is a masterclass in proportion, materiality and timeless design a home where architecture and furniture exist in complete harmony.

Many of Kjærholm’s most iconic pieces were conceived specifically for this house, including the PK54, PK61 and PK31.

We explore the story behind the home, the designer, and the philosophy that continues to make Kjærholm’s work feel as relevant today as ever.
