Tips on how to look after your battery

This applies to all cars vans and motorcycle. first find out the location of your battery depending on the vehicle depends on where it can be. sometimes its stored under the bonnet in a very visual place others are slightly more hidden can even be in the boot or under the seat

Start by checking your battery by checking the positive and negative cables to make sure there is no loose wiring and that the cables are not threaded. if this checks out alright then it's a good start if not just tighten up the cables if they are loose and if they are damaged find a workshop or a mechanic which you trust if all of this checks out then we can move on to check on the condition of the battery.

just have a visual check to make sure you can't see any cracks splits or damages. Now check the Terminal.

The positive and the negative terminals should be a nice a nice clean looking surface. If it has any duty or corrosion this usually is white dotting on the surfaces. its a good idea to give it a bit of a cleanup. If you decide to clean them up you need to start by removing the negative terminal which is normally held on by a 10mm nut don't worry about un doing it all the way just loosen it till the terminal is able to move then remove it and put a cloth around the negative Cable. Once you remove them both and they are out of the way find a hard brush preferably a wire brush but if you don't own one it will be fine to use a hard brush.

Now for the cleaning and refitting

Scrub hard until you have removed all corrosion once you have done this you can then spray some terminal cleaner or clear grace which will keep the terminal cleaner and in good condition for a lot longer.

now the final step is to just reconnect the positive and negative cable make sure you start with the positive 1st to make sure it is tightened down so it will not fall off or move. once you have done this remove The cloth or whatever you use to cover up the negative terminal then fasten it down as well.

if you have any questions about this or you would like to know more about your battery and how to check it a bit more in depth feel free to ask me any questions or I can come and show you

thank you for reading hope this has helped

Did an exhaust replacement on a Honda Jazz it was only held up by random bits of cable and zip ties it is not a good way of trying to repair it yourself if one of them snapped it could cause the vehicle to flip or skid uncontrollably due to where the exhaust could possibly anchor in to the floor

A good and easy way to clean and mop your headlights

As long as your lights are not to bad this will make them look as good as new. The 3 things you will need are stuff most people have around the house. You will need WD-40 some kind of paper towels and an old towel.

Start by spraying the light with WD-40 all over and let it soak for about 5 minutes.

After Make small round movement all over until the WD-40 has been worked in.

Then get the old towel and rub hard to remove all WD-40 and now you should have the first one done so now just repeat it again on the other side

Thank you for reading hope this has helped you if you need to no more just ask and I will help

A good Quick And easier way check your car for the day ahead

I always say to my customers that for there own safety they should do some simple checks.
It's really easy just start by turning on all your front and rear lights including fog hazards and reverse. If all bulbs a work then your off to a good start. Now I say it's a good idea to check the oil. The way to do this is to remove the dip stick whip the oil off and then re-dip now pull back out a read the dipstick level. If the level is ok the your one your Final step. This is probably the easiest one to check all you need to do is make shore the front and rear wipers are clearing the screen nicely and the washer jet working properly

If none of these are working or not oil is at the wrong level feel free to contact me and I will put these problems right so your car is ready for the day ahead. Thank you
