Explore the incredible before-and-after shots of this conservatory as part of the stunning transformation of a Grade II listed manor.

Set within the rolling hills of the southwest, this remarkable Grade II listed home enjoys breathtaking views across the surrounding valleys. However, its exposed south-facing elevation brings the challenge of strong winds. With the existing conservatory in poor condition, the client wanted a beautifully crafted curved replacement structure that could withstand the demanding conditions of its surroundings.

The addition of this bespoke orangery has created a sophisticated new space that enhances the way the home is enjoyed. Although the property was spacious, the owners lacked a light-filled room where they could fully appreciate the views of their garden.

Featuring three sets of doors with decorative arched detailing, complemented by elegant columns, the design creates a timeless aesthetic. Above, the glazed roof floods the room with natural light, creating an exceptional sense of openness and tranquillity. The owners now have a bright space that effortlessly connects the interior of the home with the outdoors.

Located in the Cotswolds, this beautiful Grade II listed home, dating back to the 1800s, has been thoughtfully enhanced with a bespoke orangery, replacing an old, tired conservatory that didn’t complement the property.

Beautifully decorated throughout, the orangery features custom-made wallpaper with hand-painted gold detailing, inspired by a design seen in Paris. The wallpaper was perfectly matched to the owner’s curtains, creating an elegant and secluded atmosphere when drawn.

The owner told us that the new orangery feels as though it has always been part of the house. They now enjoy dining in a light-filled space overlooking their beautiful surroundings all year round and have hosted many memorable dinner parties in this stunning space.

A unique collaboration between Vale Garden Houses and Architectural Bronze combining Vale’s refined roof system with beautiful bronze windows and doors. The result, a beautifully slim and delicate glasshouse that forms a traditional yet very intriguing addition to a heritage home.

The highly transparent nature of the installation allows the host building’s form and features to remain easily read, the exposed original house wall being an essential part of this characteristic. This contributes to the historic glasshouse feel and further integrates the extension into the charm of the rural setting.
