Edward Armitage Cabinetmaking is a small business specialising in bespoke free standing and fitted furniture.

Every piece is handmade using a mixture of modern machinery and traditional hand tools combining speed, accuracy and quality. At Edward Armitage Cabinetmaking, we provide a bespoke service to our customers. We can produce a range of products, varying from small personal gifts, such as boxes and tea trays right through to built-in furniture and joinery. We work closely with our clients, listening t

o their needs and incorporating their ideas into the design. 3D CAD (Computer Aided Design) drawings are used to show an accurate representation of what we are designing. We make our products using high quality materials; working mainly in native and imported hardwoods, both in solid and veneer forms.

This is a small Oak Cabinet I made to the clients design. It provides some smart storage while concealing a waste pipe. I also installed the boxing-in around the pipe next to the cabinet, which once it’s painted will be the finishing touch to this lovely sun room.

These wardrobes are one of my favourite projects from last year. Th angles certainly proofed an interesting challenge, Especially the large wardrobe which is over 3m tall at its highest point! They are made from birch faced plywood and Oak veneer.

This is one of my favourite pieces that I've made so far. It's an Oak sideboard featuring push-to-open drawers and spray painted shelves wrapped in Oak, with three removable cubes. The colours were picked by the client and look amazing!
