Building futures in Coatbridge - one Lego brick at a time

Housing-led regeneration goes far beyond bricks, mortar, and in our case, timber frame. Creating modern, safe and warm homes for Scotland’s young children is crucial to supporting their development and our country’s long-term economic growth, but the legacy of housing delivery also benefits those in the wider community, just like here in Coatbridge.

CCG is working on behalf of across five sites in the region, three of which are located in Coatbridge, including the 100-home Dunottar Avenue in Shawhead, which recently facilitated a tailored STEM community benefit event for primary school pupils who live and learn nearby, designed to help develop teamwork, creativity and problem-solving skills.

CCG is delighted to state that two of our projects have been recognised as some of Scotland’s best buildings in 2026, after securing a prestigious Award last week 🎉

Designed by , St Andrews Drive Phase 2 & 3 transformed a brownfield site in Pollokshields, once home to 1960s housing blocks, into a development of 120 high-quality homes for , with the central focus of balancing tenants’ needs and wider community benefit with a landscape-focused masterplanning philosophy 🌳

The second project to have secured a top prize is Paisley Central Library. Designed by , the project was delivered by CCG on behalf of Renfrewshire Council - with hub West Scotland - with construction comprising the rejuvenation of a former shop front on Paisley High Street into a learning hub for local school pupils and adults 🧑‍🎓

Community engagement 🤝

Our site team at Queen Mary Avenue, led by CCG Site Manager, Barrie Hain, was delighted to host pupils from Clydebank High School and St Peter the Apostle recently 🧑‍🎓

The boys’ visit was held in partnership with and forms part of a range of community-based initiatives that CCG will undertake during the delivery of the new, 17-home development, which is being constructed on the site of a former day centre in Drumry, Clydebank, on behalf of 🏡

Queen Mary Avenue is one of four developments under construction in the region - each an example of how housing-led regeneration is helping to address localised needs, while creating a wider positive impact on West Dunbartonshire’s communities 👏

For many years, CCG has proudly worked on behalf of Whiteinch and Scotstoun Housing Association, delivering various large-scale workstreams that have provided valued support for their tenants and strengthened the wider community.

Our latest workstream forms part of a larger contract award that has been in place since 2020 and will see 124 residences benefit from the supply and installation of our high-performance PVCu windows.
