Really need to up my photo game, maybe on the next project! This pair of beautiful Parker Knoll chairs have had a lovely bright transformation from dull terracotta to a gorgeous cream and dusty pink stripe. I love how the new colour makes the wood and cane stand out. A fun recover, further cementing my love for Parker Knoll!

A repair on the leather for this motorbike seat. Some of the seams had weakened and were bust open and the casing holding the wire to fit it to the base had disintegrated. All seams fixed, a fix to a nick in the back of the seat and new wire casing attached and it's as good as new. The bike is already 45 years old, this restoration is really taking shape and looking great!

A lovely set of dining chairs, fully stripped of their old orange varnish and recovered in a buttery soft vinyl. My client had attempted to do it herself but the old varnish was incredibly stubborn and needed some extra help. The wood underneath was really lovely, so I refinished it keeping the natural colour. The chairs date from the sixties and the frames are super sturdy, so ready for another 60+ years at the dining table!

This is a lovely ottoman footstool I completed earlier this year. It was recovered in passione velvet with a fun zebra print pop in the inside. The original ottoman just had a plain black interior so this new pop of pattern against the black velvet is a nice surprise!

I've been busy with work over the past few months but have been a disaster keeping on top of posting and other admin - so here is a gorgeous cane chair I got to fully revamp for a customers reading corner. It had no original cane left at all, just the bare frame, so I recaned the back and made up a new comfy cushion for the seat in liguria (the fabric is called boaty mc boatface!). I'm really pleased with the outcome, it's such a lovely shape.

I don't post much about the other half of my job but I love these costumes and wanted to share. I spent most of 2024 working as a menswear maker for Oulander season 8, which was finally released a few weeks ago. It was a really fun job and It's been so good to see the costumes in action after all this time!

Another showcase of how bad I have been at taking photos of jobs. This was a very tired banjo case with a crumbling leather handle and a base that had completely come away because the closure and attachments had also disintegrated. I removed all the old leather pieces and made up new ones with some navy scrap leather I had, which I painted up in black leather paint. All hand stitched back together and working well again. And I used the paint to cover up all the old scuffs. It's possibly not the most beautiful of restoration but it has taken the case from completely defunct back to fully usable. I'm really pleased with the outcome.

Pattern matching this Glasgow subway moquette was tricky but very satisfying! Excuse the pre Christmas chaos in the background, it's been a mad couple of weeks. Got this bench cushion delivered yesterday and it looks great in situ, but of course I forgot to take a picture! More moquette projects for 2026 please, they look so good!

An ercol refresh! Made new covers for this beautiful ercol set out of a lovely charcoal wool. We replaced the back cushions with plumper wool filled pads for a bit more comfort and wrapped the existing seat foam to help it last and give it a more plush feel. Small changes making a big difference to comfort and longevity!
