A once in a lifetime opportunity, for all intent and purpose early bedsteads such as this are now rare to the point of being unavailable.. .

A 'frustrated interior decorator', Jasper Conran can't help himself in the face of a historic house calling out for his nurturing touch. So it was perhaps inevitable that he - and the many 'marvellous rare things' he's collected - should have found themselves in the Neoclassical confines of Wardour Castle in Wiltshire. But having since moved on to what he swears will be the last such project, the fashion designer has decided it's time to send hundreds of pieces, including fine examples of 18th-century English furniture, to auction. approximately 500 lots from the designer’s former country home New Wardour Castle in Wiltshire. The sale capture’s the designer’s country-house vision and his passion for collecting 16th – 19th Century works of art and paintings.
