Strummy Mummies brought to you by the Mobile Music Hub is an empowering fun social experience for mothers in a child friendly space, where mums can come together to relax, create music and learn ukulele and singing, whilst their children play. Are you ready for a musically enlightening experience? Do you fancy connecting with others, and learning a new skill? Strummy Mummies aims to connect mother
s through music and hold space for musical experimentation in a safe nurturing community environment. We will be learning fun pop songs to play together, whilst the children are playing with their toys. We promise you there will be no nursery rhymes or wheels on the bus in sight. We want to enable you to reach your musical potential while jamming out with other mums. We want you to have a relaxed experience, laid back, easy going, creating a welcoming friendly atmosphere. Children have equal status in the room and freedom to roam, the sessions will be adult centred, but children are welcome to accompany parents. Some children's toys will be available but please bring your own if you like. The sessions are for mums and nonbinary people who hold roles as carers for children. This workshop will cater for all abilities from beginners to more experienced. Whatever stage you are at, this workshop is for having fun, and not taking it too seriously! We have designed different options and stages for the group. The workshops will be designed so that you can either attend for the whole term like a course, or dip in and out. If you want to subscribe at a discount for 6 classes you can choose which dates you can attend as the weeks go on. We are planning to make weekly videos exclusively for our Strummy Mummies so you can practice at home if you want! Also it doesn't matter what age your child/children are!! You could be pregnant, or they could be grown up with their own kids, You could even be a Grand Mamma. Or have suffered a loss π all Mummas welcomeπ This is a place to connect with other Mums in a safe, learning and supportive environment β¨
Also it is not obligatory to bring your kids!! Feel free to come on your own or with Mumma friends for some you time too :)
You don't need to bring your own ukulele, let us know if you will be bringing your own ukulele, so we can have a good idea of how many ukuleles we need to bring for the session. More about the team -
