DCW Polymers (previously Polymer Industries Ltd) are proud to now be able to offer the public a recycling solution for your empty crisp packets, clean water/drinks bottles and their lids. The business was initially set up to provide a premium plastic waste resource solution, predominantly from businesses across the UK. We source suitable clean, single-stream plastics for recycling, which we process and then transform into quality re-usable raw materials that are then used by UK manufacturers to convert into new products. This reduces the need for virgin plastics, which is both a sustainable and environmentally beneficial solution that also provides cost savings for manufacturers, without compromising the quality or integrity of the finished article. Operating from industrial premises in South Devon it was established in 2013 to focus on handling and processing high-grade polymers, sourced mainly from post-industrial and post-commercial supply partners across the UK and beyond, using the best possible feedstock as our raw materials. We can also either recycle or reverse engineer industrial plastics; we would first need a sample to test the polymer type to ensure compatibility with our machinery. If you have waste materials you would like us to recycle of or reverse engineer, give us a call, leave a message on Facebook, or drop us an email at [email protected] for more information
More recently we have become suppliers to and distributors for Storm Board, a product designed by Protomax who are the world leaders when it comes to plastic board manufacturing technology. Storm Board is a weatherproof and recyclable alternative to plywood that focuses on turning “unrecyclable plastic” into new products. Due to its weather resistant properties, it can be reused many times and recycled into another board at the end of its life. Since integrating into the DCW Family we have diversified our operations to include community based projects and you will soon see us at local trade show and events such as the Cornwall Business Show, the Devon Business Show and participating/supporting other communal events alongside our DCW colleagues, where we will be supporting the wider communities; delivering workable solutions for your waste management difficulties. We now include a drop-in centre open to the public where we can accept your empty crisp packets, clean plastic water/drink bottles and their lids. As responsible recyclers committed to Zero Waste to Landfill we are currently in discussions with other waste management providers looking at ways to expand our capabilities by creating a plastic recycling solution for the large volumes of plastics dumped at civic amenities sites within the region. Our fundamental ethos that underlies everything we do is ‘Quality’ and we strive to exceed our customer’s expectations both in terms of our service delivery and our finished products. These values are sewn into the fabric of our operation and are visible from our housekeeping, production processing, inspection and packaging to ensure clean and exceptionally good quality reprocessed materials.
