A change of scenery for this week’s build as we head up to Scotland for a garden office designed to make working from home feel a little less like working from home. 💻

This 3.95m x 3m traditional apex cabin keeps things simple with a bright, open-plan interior, while the 1m canopy adds a little extra character and shelter at the entrance.

Built for everyday use, it features:

🏠 Heavy-duty laminated shingles with a 30-year expected lifespan
🌧️ Guttering
🔌 Box skirting to neatly conceal electrical wiring

This week’s build takes us to Worcestershire, where this Moderna-style cabin has been designed to make summer days by the pool even better 🏊

At 6m x 3.95m, the cabin is split into two practical spaces: a generous 4.55m summer house alongside a separate 1.45m wash and changing room, ideal for making the most of the garden and pool without heading back into the house.

The build includes:

🪟 Aluminium doors with 28mm toughened double glazing
🌡️ Roof and floor insulation
🌧️ EPDM rubber roofing with integral downpipes
📐 A maximum height of 2.5m to sit within permitted development requirements
