Everyone loves a before and after.

This flooring was in storage for a little over 30 years and still looks amazing. Arranged in a herring bone style, distressed, and then stained to give it that rustic look. This client’s pool table was turned into a useable kitchen table.

This set has been cut from the same piece of timber, allowing for similar patternisation throughout the three boards. Handles have been carved into the wood allowing for an unbroken view of this amazing grain.

The oak from these chopping boards at one stage in its life underwent stress and created an amazing black pattern known as spalting. Cork has been used for the feet to allow for a heat-resistant base that protects the wood as well as give grip to surfaces.

Finished in 3 coats of natural and food-safe tung oil with no risk of the finish chipping. Tung oil is readily available and it would be advised to reapply every one to two years depending on the amount of use.

Nature took over with these slim, simple coasters. They are a view into the years it took to grow, with their natural bark still attached.

Made from locally and sustainable silver birch. The wood used was selected from timber that was cleared to allow new growth and sunlight into the rest of the forest.
