I'm not sure how I am going to get these on the bike stand?!

It's Ellon Pedal Car race on the 6th of June and I'm helping to give the cars a check over and a tune up. If you'd like to enter a team get in touch with the organisers. I've done it 3 times and it's good fun!

Shimano? Shima-NO more like. Just kidding. Shimano STI shifters are marvellous bits of engineering, but sometimes the grease in the pawl-ratchet system dries up leading to poor or non-existent shifting. Nothing for it but to clean them up, regrease and reassemble.

Ordering a bicycle online for Christmas but unsure about building it? Price to unpack, build, setup and safety-check a flat-pack bicycle is £20. Packing materials will be disposed of and I have secure storage if you want to leave it with me until convenient for you to take it home.

A bicycle can last a long time if well maintained. My oldest road bicycle has just turned fourteen. In addition to regular servicing, I like to strip it down completely every 2-3 years to give the frame, forks and all components a thorough clean.

Are you planning on buying a bicycle online at Christmas and want the peace of mind that it is assembled from flat-pack correctly?

Fixed price assembly of flat-pack bicycles for £20. The bike will be unpacked, assembled, setup (including brakes and gears) and safety-checked, and packing materials disposed of for you. Please just get in touch to book.

Plenty of bikes down here at the moment at the Ellon Crit races! I'm here performing gearing checks to ensure all youth riders are riding in accordance with the rules of British Cycling licensed races. Lovely day for it! Dry roads make for fast riding.
