How beautiful is this miniature metal shear? 😍 I have no idea of age or maker, but I know it is perfectly sized for model making and that's what I'll be using it for

This was a really fun project! asked me to make a new finial to replace the rotten one you can see in the first picture. I had great fun making it, even though it only just fit on the lathe! An added complication was that it had a weather vane / lightning rod through the centre that couldn't be removed, so I used a paper joint to turn it and then separate it so it could be installed around it

I loved this project! I've always wanted to make a library ladder and thanks my wonderful customers I've been able to finally make some. These were made from Iroko and built to fit some existing bookcases. If you want a set for yourself please get in touch 😊

Got to love a good before and after! This coffee table had been well loved for a long time, but a strip and refinish revealed the amazing grain and colour

The customer thought this table was beyond saving after years of use in the family dining room, but oxalic acid saved the day!

This was a fun job, adding an extra handrail to a staircase. I matched the profile of the handrail and took design cues from the spindles to make the brackets. Made from Douglas Fir, stained and varnished to match

I was asked to make a replica of this side table for a family member of the owner of the original table. This took a few jigs and head scratching, but I think it turned out really well

My work is on display at the annual exhibition 🤣 Until 11th June you can see the plinth I made for this amazing architectural model of the Kings Theatre, Edinburgh, made as part of the ongoing refurbishment of one of Scotland's oldest working theatres.
