Early support makes such a difference 👇

When issues are addressed early:
✔️ Less compensation develops
✔️ Recovery is often easier
✔️ Dogs stay comfortable for longer

Waiting until a dog is really struggling usually means the body has been compensating for a long time already.

Don’t ignore the subtle signs 🐾

When I assess a dog, I’m looking for more than just limping 👇

✔️ Posture
✔️ Movement quality
✔️ Muscle tension
✔️ Behaviour changes

Pain in dogs is often subtle.

The little things owners notice at home are often the biggest clues 🐾

What happens when stiffness gets ignored 👇

⚠️ Compensation patterns develop
⚠️ More strain gets placed elsewhere
⚠️ Mobility gradually decreases

The body always tries to adapt - but long term, compensation can create even more problems.

Early intervention is always easier than waiting 🐾

Things I see all the time as a canine massage therapist 👇

⚠️ Dogs compensating for discomfort
⚠️ Owners thinking stiffness is “normal ageing”
⚠️ Dogs pushing through pain without obvious signs

Dogs are incredibly resilient - but that also means issues often go unnoticed for a long time.

Early support can make a huge difference 🐾

This is why I’m not a fan of repetitive ball throwing 👇

🎾 Sudden stops
🎾 Sharp twisting
🎾 Repetitive high-impact movement

Over time, this can place huge strain on joints, muscles, and soft tissues.

There are much safer ways to exercise your dog while still keeping them fulfilled and active 🐾

Every dog I see gets assessed properly before treatment 👇

I look for:
✔️ Movement quality
✔️ Weight shifting
✔️ Areas of tension or discomfort

Small movement changes can tell you a huge amount about how a dog is feeling physically.

Dogs are incredibly good at compensating- which is why these checks matter 🐾

These signs are often blamed on “just getting older” 👇

⚠️ Stiffness
⚠️ Reluctance on walks
⚠️ Sleeping more
⚠️ Behaviour changes

Ageing itself isn’t the issue- unmanaged discomfort often is.

Supporting your dog early can make a huge difference to their quality of life 🐾
