At Broken Wing Workshop all walks of wood are welcome. A safe haven for abandoned articles who are given a new handcrafted lease of life.

Set up & run by Martin, an enthusiast for creating rustic home decor with a passion for repurposing & sustainability. The lost shipping pallet left behind. The forgotten scaffold board forced to bare the elements. The neglected stool nobody wanted. The bygone piano belittled by it's contemporary counterparts. At Broken Wing Workshop, all walks of wood are welcome. A safe haven for abandoned articles, where a new hand-crafted lease of life is repurposed and re-homed.

This is where your shelves start.

A truck load of reclaimed scaffold boards, lifted straight into our Edinburgh workshop. A bit of cutting, sanding and waxing later, they end up on walls across the UK.

Every nail hole, every saw mark, every split in the grain. That's not damage. That's the story.

Hello! We had such a lovely review last week for some of our Antique Pine shelves, 🥰 I thought I'd share another pic of a couple more we made with the same finish. As well as the Antique Pine, we have Dark Oak and a Clear wax finish, but also happy to try and match to any colour you may like. 🧐

Lots of scaffold shelf orders have been coming in so far this year. Seems to be the perfect time to change things up aboot the hoose 👨‍🔧 Here's a wee pic of one of our customer's new book shelves 🤩 We provide all fixings needed, which can hold even this many books! 💪

Hello you lovely people! 👋 Long time no speak. We are still scurrying away up here at the workshop, ensuring our stock is kept dry over the wet winter months 🥶 With the sun starting to return 🙌 a lot of these scaffold boards will be getting turned into some outdoor pieces. Planters, benches, tables, perhaps even a wee funky art piece here and there 🤔
