Thought I would just repost this, if any body out there would share it please and spread it around a bit that would be appreciated.
I am closing down the furniture business and as a result we are selling the premises. So here is a great opportunity for anybody looking for Live and Work units. The premises consist of two residential units and two substantial workshop with gardens and courtyard. I am also selling some of my workshop equipment.
I have edited my website www.daveian.co.uk so if anybody is interested just have a look.

The property can be viewed trough my website or here:

So things are kinda quiet at the moment, and I'm getting on with other jobs that have been on the back burner for some time. Currently converting the junk room above the workshop. First stage done, putting all the studwork in. Watch this space.

After quite a few years of chopping we decided our chopping board needed a good sanding, so while I was at it I gave it a face lift with cats paws inlay. The cats didn't seem to impressed.

Just to let you all know the new website is up and running now, It's a cleaner look with less pages hopefully a little better on the eye. I have taken out all the built in furniture and the MDF cabinets. I decided life is to short to mess around with anything other than real wood. Also the light's page is gone I will continue to make LED lighting but only in small limited editions. Constructive comments are welcome, and no doubt I have a few spelling mistakes.
If you decide to take a look and get the old site you may need to clear you history. www.daveian.co.uk

So I've not posted anything for a while and so thought it was time I did so. I've been working on the new Altar for St Bartholomew's Church Cam, they asked me not to publish anything until the Altar was revealed to the general congregation. So with Easter now behind us here is my latest creation.
The Altar is solid Oak with a Walnut inlay on top and a sound wave engraved on the rear edge.

The top inlay represents the Water of life,
β€œThe water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

The sound wave is the Rev Susan Greatorex reciting the words,
β€œ Love waits to welcome, love waits to be received. β€œ
This is something she quotes in her sermon each Sunday.
