🗣️ Are you a local business?

Why not come along to Friends of Langley Moor public meetings?

There are so many businesses in and around Langley Moor, it would be great to get representatives from the local business community. Simple conversations can lead to collaboration and a positive impact to our local communities 🙌🏻

Meetings are 2nd Thursday of the month, 7pm at Brandon & Byshottles Parish offices, Goatbeck Terrace, Langley Moor. There is no meeting in August.

Even if you just wanted to come for a cuppa, all are welcome ☕️ 😀

And thank you to the Lord Boyne hotel for hosting us.

It was a great turn out, and if you’d like to be kept up to date with events, send us a message with your email address and we can pass that on to our Chair.

OBITUARY FOR THE LATE PAUL TAYLOR
It is with great sadness that I inform you that one of our co-founders, Alderman Paul Taylor, has passed away after a short illness.
The creation of the Friends of Langley Moor came about after Danny and Beryl Bone made enquiries to Paul Taylor and John Turnbull about a Christmas tree for Langley Moor. The Friends group was formed with local residents and businesses in Langley Moor to attempt to improve the local area. After the success of the first Christmas tree, the group organised litter picks around the area. Then came the improvements to Holliday Park, which included play equipment, seating and flower planters.

The next project was to tidy up the run-down area between the Post Office and Daisy Mill café. Paul and John managed to secure funding for the project, which is now known as Boyne Place. Boyne Place won an environmental award for the improvement it made to the High Street; it was followed by more planters on the High Street.

From the community of Langley Moor, Rest In Peace Paul. Thank you for all your assistance in improving our area.
Councillor John Turnbull, 11th January 2026
