Today is International Women’s Day, and I’m celebrating the strength, creativity and determination of women everywhere — especially those building businesses with their own two hands.

As a one-woman business, Purple Heather Upholstery & Creations is built on passion, craftsmanship and a love for giving furniture a second life. From reviving well-loved family pieces to creating bespoke cushions, footstools and hand-stitched lampshades, every piece that leaves the workshop has a story behind it.
